About James Corrin, Photographer
Despite many years as a photographer, I didn't discover people with the camera until 2005. It was then I realised my current direction - blending elements of fashion photography, gothic culture and alternative lifestyle into striking images full of life, colour and shape. Each image is unique yet bound to the others through themes and styles and textures. Elements of storytelling can be included in ways that are unreachable from other styles.
My photography is portable; be it in the studio or outdoors, at gigs or with industry, it follows me and tells stories in the places I have been.
There is no such thing as subtle photography. Even the most subtle of pictures should make an impact and leave the viewer touched in some way. So if we can't be subtle, let's at least be loud and different.
